Ernest is a keen listener, but he is a little deaf in his left ear.  He got a pea stuck in it a long time ago, and although the pea was removed, his hearing was never the same.  He can hear everything you say if he’s looking straight at you, but otherwise it’s always better to be on his right side if you want to talk to him 🤎
Ernest is handmade by me from Steiff Schulte mohair.  He is a whisker over 9 inches from ear to paw, and fully jointed.  He has English glass eyes and a hand stitched nose and claws.  He wears a handknitted green trousersuit and wears an authentic vintage bus ticket.  Ernest has a saggy belly weighted with steel shot and soft pellets.  He is a sturdy weight when sitting in your hand.  He cannot stand unaided, but is very happy shelf sitting and watching the world go by 🤎
Ernest is an adult collectors bear and not suitable for children due to small parts
