From when he was a very small  and nervous bear,    Alfie has dreamed of driving a steam train.  He has built up quite a collection of toy steam trains and on days where he can please himself you will find him down on the bridge over the railway line with a packed lunch, watching the trains come and go on their journeys in and out of the station.
Alfie is handmade by me from a beautifully soft chocolate coloured viscose.  He has English glass eyes and a hand stitched nose.  He has a few sparse patches and mending stitches to give him an aged appearance.  Alfie’s saggy belly is filled with steel shot and soft pellets for weight and texture, and polycotton fibrefil for soft huggability.
Alfie measures a whisker over 10 inches from ear to paw 🐾 
Alfie is an adult collectors bear and not suitable for children due to small parts
